If I am able to help get people to support Nuclear Fusion through the video, then yes it will affect the environment – but for the better!! Nuclear Fusion is a far cleaner source of energy than what we currently use, and far more constant and sustainable than the other renewables being offered. The only bi-product of the reaction is water, which is pretty handy! Plus extracting the fuel from the ocean shouldn’t affect eco-systems much, as we are only taking a teeny tiny part of it.

Maybe not directly (at least not in my current position) but indirectly. I’m trying to understand what my molecule does to biological membranes, not only for the benefits of being a medicine but also to see if, when, and how it might be toxic. This would not only mean to humans, but also to animals, plants and microorganism. Thinking of the waste stream in a research lab, and how many things are just rinsed down the sink with plenty of water, the question that bothers me is, what happens with all those nanoparticles in the water? Where do they go and what do they do?
