I wouldn’t say the worst thing but there have been a few challenging moments in my job.
Especially when I began treating Cancer patients as a radiation therapist, I was treating young children. It was particularly challenging to explain what they are going through and what to expect, especially to their parents.
Children are a lot more inquisitive and I found it challenging to answer their questions about cancer and the process of radiation therapy as a treatment.

Office emails. Definitely office emails! I get so many emails every day that are really dull, don’t affect me and I just don’t care about – yet I still need to read them just in case it is important! Rather frustrating when I am trying to work and do cool things.

Sometimes, both teaching and research has deadlines and demands at the same time, and it’s difficult to prioritise and get everything done on time. And there is a lot of boring administrative paperwork that doesn’t seem to have any purpose but needs doing nonetheless.
