It was an imaging experiment. The method of making x-rays that my research group use is still quite new, so we were showing that you can make good quality images with it, as well as showing you can take a picture of the spinning blades in a turbo pump and not get any blur, as the “flash” is so quick everything looks like it is still! It was really cool, although I must confess that I really didn’t know what was going on most of the time, and was desperately trying to learn how all the equipment worked without breaking it or getting in the way!!

Quite sadly I can’t remember, experiments at school seem to be ages away and even the placements during my undergraduate were so many I can’t remember much details or what was first.
