Do you mean a doctor like a GP or surgeon? Biology is definitely important to progress to understand the body, physiology, anatomy. I studied at a medical faculty (but “just” medical Biotechnology), and I know my friends who studied medicine, also had physics and chemistry lectures, and later more complicated biochemistry etc. So I think studying biology, chemistry and physics gives you good foundations for studying medicine or related degree.
To be honest it is hard to go wrong at GCSE. I don’t think you are allowed to take 2 of the three sciences (and drop Biology, say), and as long as you can do the sciences you want to at A level, and those are the ones needed for your chosen degree, then you are good 🙂 Check what degree you want to do, and work out A levels from there!
