I personally hope there will be some really good inventions for the worldwide waste management, especially for the stuff which ends up in the oceans. And considering the overpopulation of the world, there need to be a lot of things done to find alternative food sources or ways to produce food. And of course, whilst we are at it, some clever people need to invent some things to sort out the fumes and problems with the ozone layer.
On the more fun side, i’m still hoping for some flying cars, like in the movies Back to the Future (I know, totally old-school).

If I knew that, I would make it myself and get ahead of the game! I think there will be a lot of robotics work coming up, especially if SpaceX get more serious about Mars trips and science over there!

I think there may be some big advances in battery technology in the future.
With slightly better batteries we can build robots that can help us at work or in dangerous places and have electric cars that can drive much further than they can now. We could also have phones that last longer than a day!

But if we could develop batteries with much higher energy densities, we could change the way we live – no need to live in towns and cities on the electrical grid for example!
