Hm, I would need to look that up as it is not my speciality. I think Rosanna is better qualified to answer the question. What I can imagine though, that even if we make it closer to the sun, with the current state of research/materials used in space, the rockets will burn off the immense heat before reaching it.
Let’s work it out! I have no idea about rockets, but Google says an aeroplane travels at about 170 miles per hour. Google also says it is about 100,000,000 miles to the sun. 100,000,000 / 170 = 588235 hours, or about 70 years!
