      HI
In my career so far I have had the chance to treat children with a varied form of knowledge about cancer and its treatment. Some know a lot about it, others have absolutely had no idea what cancer is and how it is going to change their lives ( depending on what age range they are in).
But my aim is to help children understand what it means to have cancer and how it can change their lives and the lives of the ones that love them. How there are treatment options available and how their will power can help them through the radiation treatments and help conquer cancer.
this is very tricky because each child is different and they understand things differently, they come from various backgrounds and cultures where Cancer is seen in various ways. My experiences have taught me that the common language to make them understand is understanding what they are going through. Rather than increasing their Intelligent Quotient ( IQ) about the Cancer I want to focus on their Emotional Intelligence ( EI) about cancer where they can understand this disease through their feelings.
