I was really young I think when I started to ask questions about the science of things. What marked my interest in becoming a scientist was at around age 9/10

I think even in primary school I was rather curious asking a lot of questions and very interested in a subject called general knowledge and nature. Once the sciences were introduced at secondary school my interested really just grew from there.

It is hard to quantify really… Especially knowing the difference between being a know-it-all wannabe and being interested in science. A defining moment was when my Granddad tried to convince me at age 12 or so that he was a wizard, by throwing metal onto the bonfire and making ti change colour. He refused to tell me how he did it, so I went away to try and find out!
