I do think nuclear power is ethical with some caveats. Nuclear power, both fission and fusion, are amongst the most efficient and powerful forms of generating electricity we currently have and the process is inherently safe and well understood. However, there are many engineering challenges with both techniques and, as with all forms of power generation, safety should always be a top priority and careful thought should be given to where the fuel comes from and what happens to any waste products afterwards, including the power station itself, afterwards.

As yet we don’t have a perfect way of generating electricity in the amounts required for the way we as a society would like to live, so we always have to look at both the good things and bad things about each form of energy generation.
